ImmunoTek™ TMB (3,3',5,5'-Tetramethylbenzidine) Stable Liquid Substrate for HRPO, 1.13mM, Insoluble||TMB Stable Liquid Substrate is a peroxidase substrate which produces a stable insoluble aquamarine blue precipitate at the reaction site with little or no background. It is ideal for many immunoblotting procedures and can significantly increase the detection limits of assays on a variety of membranes.||TMB, when reacted with horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and hydrogen peroxide, forms a blue free radical cation 1-electron oxidation product. It is routinely used in ELISA procedures. For TMB to be worthwhile as a blotting reagent, enhancers such as dextran sulfate are usually added.||Lot-to-lot variations of molecular weights and degree of sulfonation of charged polysaccharides increase the complexity of manufacturing processes.||United States Biological has developed proprietary methodology that eliminates the use of sugar polymers and guarantees the production of a consistent single component precipitating TMB solution.||pH: |4.9±0.03||Storage and Stability: |Stable for 12 months after receipt at RT. To extend the stability of product, refrigerate at 4°C.
