-20°CAffinity-purified Amaranthus caudatus (ACL/ACA) is a dimer glycoprotein made up of two subunits. ACL has preferential specificity to oliogsacharrides containing the galactosyl disacharride Galβ3GalNAc. ACL tolerates sialic acid substitution at the 3 position of galactose in the “T” antigen. It does not have specificity for blood groups but does have a higher affinity for type O erythrocytes over B and A.||Source:|Tassle flower||Blood Specificity:|O > B > A (-SA) T antigen||Carbohydrate Specificity:|Galβ3GalNAc||Inhibitory Carbohydrate:|Disialyzed Fetuin||Divalent Ions:|None Required||Activity:|ACL agglutinates human ABO and sheep, goat, rat, rabbit and guinea pig erythrocytes.||Storage and Stability:|Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O or sterile buffer. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
